This is the work that was created for Vhils recent trip to Beijing for his ‘IMPRINT’ exhibition.

Director’s Statement:

“This film aims to be a  sort of an ode to humanity and its specificities. China may be a very different place from Europe, from what we’re used to, but in the end it really is all the same. There is so much more that connects us than what sets us apart. Together with Vhils, I tried to create a dicotomy between the chaos of living in such a big metropolis and the individual lives that fuel the city. I’ve also shot some 35mm analog photography and super 8 film, which intensifies this need to capture a specific action and moment in time – specific individuals immersed in their lives who in the end happen to portray us all.”
