Lisbon is a greatly diverse city, with unique ‘juntas’ or municipalities that have a distinctive identity. The thing is, most people only see the central and more famously historical parts of it – even the people that live here.
Lisbon Week began in 2012 to shine a light on the city and its ‘hoods, or bairros as we call them and this year, it takes place in the city’s oldest municipality – Lumiar.
We came up with our slogan, ‘cada bairro, uma cidade’ or ‘Every neighbourhood, a city’, to reflect the depth and richness of these areas. Usually overlooked, there is poetry and life in these streets and our designs aim to highlight that.
Bright and naïve in their shapes, they give the area’s acute palette an explosion of colourful formative energy, representing exploration, learning and growth to inspire a fresh perspective of awe and fascination.
The collaboration between Solid Dogma and Lisbon Week is one that is built on a relationship and a love of our city.
Lisbon is not just the vibrant and up-and-coming hotspots, but the whole thing.
Lisbon Week will show you why.
